I have been touched by 3 Questions

1. What surprised me about this experience?

My lists were so very different. I have to say that I really started to over think things. I couldn't focus on the question because I was trying to process and decide what would be the "best" answers. I found out ...SURPRISE! I don't always have to do that. That is not always necessary. My second list was so much more easy to write. I even put one answer down twice, now I know, it's OK.

2. What touched me about this experience?

I have always been a servant. I know this and I always have. What touched me is that I can also be a leader. There is a balance between the two, I just need to find it. I am being given all of the tools to learn to do this. And I am so excited that I am now on that path.

3. What inspired me about this experience?

Dr. Self. She is amazing. She oozed self confidence, leadership, and being a servant. She literally didn't have to open her mouth and I just knew that she was someone that I wanted to hear speak. She seems very wise yet very humble. I would really love to hear her again.

  1. I too think Dr. Self is an amazing speaker. I hope to one day have half of her talent in speaking to groups.

  2. My lists were almost polar opposites too. This exercise made me realize, however, that I do have the traits necessary to always be servant leader. I just have to translate those traits into each leadership opportunity.

  3. I felt very similar to you. The moment I saw Dr. Self I knew she was going to be good. You are correct that she oozes self confidence. I hope one day to be able to share my experience and knowledge with others as she does.
