How do I feel about the challenges

I think they are fun. It breaks up the study time in the day and gets the juices flowing.

Wrap Up

There is too much to just name one thing. I learned  that I am a whole lot stronger than I thought I was. I am going to stop micro-managing and start delegating responsibilities to other people and stop trying to do everything myself. I am going to watch my library grow and I wont stop until it does.
I feel horrible about it! I could not participate today and feel like I let my team down and my class down and my teacher down. I am so sorry to everyone. :'(
I am very glad you invited them to speak. What wonderful people! I got so tickled at what she said about "people love to take credit for the idea" That happens to me a lot. But as long as the job gets done I don't mind one bit who gets the credit... but it does make giggle.

I really enjoy working as a team. I appreciate all the thought and effort you put into this year about Survivor. You are helping us grow and learn, but making it fun at the same time.

Managing Performance

I do not have a huge library, so the more that this sweet lady (Maggie Bahou) talked today, the more I thought, "Well....now what in the world am I going to be able to get out of this? How can I use all of this amazing knowledge?" So I started thinking. I may have a small size staff, (3 including me) but that is not the only people that evaluate me and who I can evaluate. It has taken me a while to win over my Friends group, however now that I have I am going to use this to my advantage. They have been critiquing me this whole time and now I think it may be time for them to step up their game and start performing like the amazing friends group that I know they are.

I love being a team

The word team was mentioned quiet a few times in our lesson today, and although I am not a huge sports fan, I am a gigantic "team fan". I believe that everyone that is a part of your team is not 100% all of the time. That is where your team comes in. When one player is down, the rest of your team is supposed to help them, even carry them if need be. With this mentality I not only run my library this way but I this is how I try to run my home. We are TEAM WALKER! Everyone has their jobs to do for our home. When everyone does their jobs the game goes great, kind of like a well oiled machine. We have wonderful results, everything looks beautiful, and it doesn't take long before the mission is accomplished. I feel like it is my responsibility as Mommie and Director to delegate my teams the jobs that they need to do. So in closing I have to say I can really relate to todays wonderful teamwork lesson.
